I don’t know about you but OMG I’m so ready for summer! Light mornings and long evenings, the birds singing and sun shining, floating skirts and tousled hair along with sun kissed freckly skin.. day dream over! Iv spent my time in lockdown cheering myself up by researching trends of a better time, looking at what the catwalks are forecasting what were all going to be wearing in the next couple of months (no, not loungewear)!
Neon Signs…
How neon is your wardrobe?! Greens, Fuchsia and bright yellows were all over the catwalk leading the theme for this years colour scheme.. Acid green is my favourite with Valentino leading the neon explosion!
HAIR
The catwalk not only predicts what colours and styles will be filtering down into the high street but hair and make up trends can be spotted too. Hair seems to be in braids which seem to come and go in fashion but never seem to fully leave as they look adorable but are also practical too.. bonus! Slicked back but softer styles seem to be popular with it being swept off the face but a relaxed ‘I just woke up like this’ vibe.
MAKE UP
To say the clothes are bright and flamboyant the make up is unexpectedly natural. Fluffy, full eyebrows which appear to be combed are not only more practical but are so much more complimentary than eyebrow trends of the past.
Formal but feminine…
Pretty ironic when most people haven’t stepped in their office since March but there you go! I love this style of tweed suits and military looks but a super modern twist with the ‘trousers’ actually being 3/4 length falling just below the knee.. my inner feminist feels this represents strong, powerful women in business but making it super cute at the same time.
HAIR
Again the hair is looking effortless and undone but structured, centre partings are huge and braids and plaits add to the look of formal but feminine.
MAKE UP
For this look your going to want to leave your eyes alone, its all about the pout! Dark, rich lips is the only way to finish this clean cut vibe. Plum and brown are the shades rather than reds and bright colours. Comb out those eyebrows finishing with an eyebrow gel, a sweep of light brown mascara and soft nude eyeshadow, finish with some aviator sunglasses if your feeling super sassy!
White party…
Tis’ the season for… weddings.. lace and sheer is the theme with this trend but pairing it with some biker boots or heels. I love the chunky black belt which takes the bride out of it and makes sure it looks ironic.
HAIR
Hair is sleek and simple, anything too fancy and your going to look like your upstaging a bride.
MAKE UP
Black smokey eyes would look amazing with this look and makes sure it looks edgy adding a gothy vibe.
Sheer Miracle
The structured blazers paired with the sexiness of the sheer material is what i’m seeing, sexy office wear will never fully go out of fashion but it takes a daring woman to go see through.
HAIR
Im thinking sleek - low parting, wet look gel to add to this sexy look.
MAKE UP
Minimal make up using soft matte colours, sharp contour with just a tad too much product to create an intense vibe, soft fluffy but groomed eyebrows are a must.
