Congratulations on your forthcoming wedding day!
It is both nerve wracking and intimidating finding that perfect someone to do your wedding hair and make up. Here, I go through everything that in my experience works best for you and myself as a professional.
When booking your bridal hair and make up with me you are embarking on a truly amazing experience. Book your slot at least three months before the big day, time goes so quick with all that planning!
I have a wide knowledge and an eye for what suits any individual – from a vintage pin up, classic bride to rock and roll. My versatility is what sets me apart from other professionals. It all starts with a consultation – here we discuss what is required and more importantly what is achievable. My clients say I am honest and professional from start to finish. In the consultation I get a feel for personalities and start to envision what is going to work.
A bridal trial is to be done around 8 weeks prior to the big day, this timing is worked perfectly along the lines of how much the hair is likely to change and grow in this time. On the day of the trial I expect research to be done on ideas and realistic aims to be set in place. I curl and set the hair and will explain to all brides why this is done, while the hair is cooling I move on to make up. Through out the entire process I inform and educate on the products that will be used and why – this provides a sense of calm, tranquility and reassurance -which everyone needs prior to their big day. When hair and make up is done brides have the opportunity to tweak and change anything or try a different style. This is your big day, you have to be confident in your look!
‘‘Remember a trial is not just simply getting your hair and make up done, it is chance to see what works and what doesn’t!’’
The trial is important as we can get to know each other, get a feel for the day and discuss timings, locations and exact details on how it will work on the day.
Hair and Make Up is a small but paramount part in planning a wedding so I work hard to make it run smoothly so you can focus on enjoying the biggest day of your life!
Make up
I have completed all make up training with Illamasqua in London. I use various techniques and products to achieve what you are looking for – all occasions whether it is for the beautiful bride, the bridesmaids or to sweeten the future mother-in-law.
I believe that amazing make up starts with beautiful skin. Creating the ‘perfect’ canvas is paramount and I will advise on a good beauty regime to maximize the full potential of the desired look for the big day. Included in this tailored package you will experience highlighting and contouring among other techniques to not only enhance your beauty, but to teach you some new tricks along the way.
What products do I use?
I mainly use M.A.C and Illamasqua make up products although, I do have a handful of products from designer houses that I love to use and just can’t seem to part with. I spend most of my free time experimenting with colours, different textures and brands. This has given me more knowledge of what works best aswell as thinking outside the box. We all have our comfort zones and I am keen to push limits and introduce new looks to those wishing to dare a bolder and striking look.
Out and About
I am based in Media City, Manchester. Travelling around the North West or even further a field is not a problem. My mileage fees can be discussed at the time of booking.
Booking, deposits and mileage.
A bridal trial has to be booked a minimum of 8 weeks before the date of the wedding, to secure your date a £100 deposit will be taken and then a bridal contract will be sent, this is to be carefully read and signed before any booking.
On the day of the trial, 50% of the balance is to be paid along with the cost of the trial.
A week prior to the big day the remaining balance is to be paid. This avoids exchanging of monies on the day, relieving that stress and making the day a much more enjoyable experience. Grab the champagne, sit back and enjoy!
I charge 40p per mile for the round trip to your location. Please enquire for quotation.
