So it has been a crazy year, fashion and trends seem to have been forgotten but one trend that is massive is The Mullet.. Would you dare? Controversial - you either love it or hate it! Im personally loving it and read its a hair style for an 'out there' girl, someone who is too cool to care what people think, the anti fashionable, a rebellious delinquent… I may just start growing mine! Ha!

Ok so Im not talking about the 1980s do! The mullet has a bad rep, having spoken to many women (of a certain age) all of whom have screwed up their faces vaguley remembering their teenage heart throbs back in the 80s rocking this catastrophe and questioned my sanity when I have said The Mullet is making a come back! The thing is.. all the cool girls are doing it.. with a twist…
So from a hairdressers point of view the 80s version was awful, disconnected even shaven sides, a short spiky fringe and then what can only be described as a tail down the back, The Mullet has now had a serious make over looking overall more connected and shorter at the back…
All it takes is a few celebrities to do it and bang your taking your Pinterest board straight to your stylist hoping to come out looking like you stepped out of Vogue.. with the likes of Miley Cyrus, Billie Eilish and Irina Shayk I’d say its a haircut to watch..
Its appeal is in its rebelliousness.. its the anti fashion haircut and perfect for seriously ballsy girls who are bored of beach waves and big bouncy blowdries.. The 2020 Mullet is for the girl who doesn’t care what people think, who is comfortable in her own skin and completely owns it, its takes a certain amount of attitude to carry it off…

My advise would be to think have you got the time and energy to apply the correct products to make the style look well.. styled? Would you wear it with full confidence and make it part of your whole look? Do you have the badass attitude to carry it off? If the answers are no stick to your bouncy blow hun.. If your thinking YES! Please for god sake get an amazing hairdresser (erm moi)! to cut it for you because this is not a look you want to go wrong…
