Face
Large Powder Brush – This brush can be used to apply a translucent powder to mattify your make up, making it feel secure and looking flawless, a good powder also stops any shiny patches forming throughout the day.
Small Powder – This brush can be used to apply either blusher or a soft highlight. Its fluffy bristles create a dusting of product avoiding any harsh lines. Can also be used to blend out your contour product.
Angled Contour – Apply a hollow coloured bronzer just above the contour, small circular motions along the middle of the cheekbone will not only warm your skin tone but give the cheeks that fullness of youth creating a sunkissed finished.
Soft Blush – use this brush for applying a soft rosey blusher along the top of the cheekbone. From our experience every woman has a personal preference on how much blush is too much blush, we say if your confident to wear just a tiny bit too much… go for it!!
Flat Contour – We love this brush to apply a shadow underneath the cheekbone from the middle of the ear towards the corner of the lip. If you can perfect this you shall have the most amazing cheekbones.
‘foundation brush’ – most of you will see this as a foundation brush. It works for some people and some foundations, however we use this to apply the primer to prep the skin, the texture of the brush means it works the product straight into the skin, minimizing those pores and create the perfect canvas.
Highlight Brush – use this brush to finish your routine by softly dusting over with a highlighter, do this around temples and on tip of the nose to add dimension to your look.
Eyes
Small Angled Blending – the fluffiness and size of this brush is perfect for applying darker shadow to the eye. The fact its so small keeps you in full control of the application. Most people go wrong by applying too dark and too much. Keep it minimal unless its for Halloween.
Eyeshadow Application – this is a small brush for a small area, apply your shadow with precision and create the eye shape you want.
Medium Angled Blending – best used for your lighter ‘smoking out’ colours, after applying depth to your shadow you need to blend it out with this beauty.
Large Angled Blending – We use this for perfecting and finishing touches. Keep it clean and dust over the skin to make sure everything is flawless.
Small Smudge – We use this brush to smoke out the shadow along the bottom lash line. The shape of the brush means it both deposits the colour and blends it out at the same time. This technique opens up the eye and gives a sexy sultry finish.
Liner Brush – super fine this brush takes some practice, use with a gel or liquid liner to ensure your wings are sharp and even, can be used to perfect those little details too.
Angled (eyebrows) - We recommend using this small angled brush to fill in any gaps in your brows. Always use a powder instead of pencil (the oil in brow pencils open up the sebaceous glands in your skin and force the hair out - causing hairs to come out) – start the product with the arch working your way in using less product towards the middle. No one wants too dark brows so go easy with this!
Concealer
Concealer Application – notice the texture and shape of this brush? This is what we call a compact brush, meaning it deposits product, take a triangular section of the under eye to the nose and apply a small amount of concealer around ½ to a full shade lighter than your foundation, this highlights where the skin naturally goes thinner and slightly darker. The difference it makes will shock you and youl never be able to go back to just smothering your face with the same old foundation.
Concealer Blender – after looking like you have just applied your war paint of concealer with your ‘application’ brush its time to blend it out. tiny cicular motions of this soft beauty along the skin will work the concealer, illuminating the skin. In make up concealer is your best friend!
Lips
Lip Brush – after applying your lip liner (we recommend using a slightly darker shade for the outline) use this beauty to apply your lipstick, working from the outline in, blending from the liner. start with the cupids bow. See video for example.
